Applications being accepted for 2011/12 Yellowknives Dene First Nation/De Beers Canada Inc. Scholarship Program
Applications are now being accepted for the Yellowknives Dene First Nation/De Beers Canada Inc. 2011/12 Scholarship Program.
This program is jointly sponsored by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN) and De Beers Canada Inc. (DBCI) for the YKDFN beneficiaries who are enrolled in a recognized, accredited educational institution in secondary, post secondary, technical or adult education program. The YKDFN and DBCI scholarship program was established to encourage beneficiaries to continue with their education and pursue academic excellence.
- Secondary (Grades 10, 11 and 12)
- Adult Education
- Post Secondary/Technical Institution
The Yellowknives Dene First Nation/De Beers Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from member beneficiaries of the Yellowknives Dene. Eligible are those beneficiaries who demonstrate a financial need to pursue a post-secondary education. The closing date for applications is August 5, 2011.
- Must be a member of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation
- Must be enrolled in, or applying to, an accredited, recognized institution
- Applications must be accompanied by the following:
- Covering letter describing career aspirations
- Two (2) current letters of reference from an employer and/or school official
- Official transcripts demonstrating academic achievement
- Proof of acceptance to accredited or recognized institution
- Completed application form
Application Forms can be downloaded from this page and are also available for pick up at the YKDFN Implementation Office or at the Dettah and Ndilo Administration Offices.
