Steven Thomas holds the role of Chief Financial Officer for De Beers Canada. He joined the Canadian team from the De Beers’ London based Diamond Trading Company (DTC) where he was the Head of Finance.

Prior to joining De Beers, Steven held the role of Chief Finance Officer of Aquarion Company in the US, a subsidiary of Kelda plc, with whom he worked in the UK head office as Head of Audit and Business Services.

A succession of roles in the UK spanning the health sector, financial services and public sector followed three years in public practice with KPMG London office.

Steven is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Joint Honours Degree in Accounting and Economics from University College Cardiff.
